Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are seeing the continued success of their single, “WAP, as it reaches 1 Billion streams on Spotify. The song debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with a record-breaking 93 million streams in the first week. The song also scored #1 on Billboard’s Global 200 Chart. “WAP” topped Spotify’s weekly Top 200 for nine weeks. Spotify posted a congratulatory tweet in honor of the record, “Get a bucket and a mop cause WAP just joined the #BillionsClub.” “WAP” is the fourth song by Cardi B to pass the 1 billion Spotify play mark. Cardi also received over a billion streams for “I Like It,” “Taki Taki,” and “Girls Like You.” She is likely to add a fifth song in the future, as “Bodak Yellow” currently has 756 million Spotify streams.
