Cardi B Becomes First Female Rapper To Have Multiple Songs Surpass Diamond Status
Cardi B just celebrated her 30th birthday and commemorated a huge music industry accomplishment at the same time. The Recording Industry of America confirmed Cardi’s “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It” have both crossed the 11x-Platinum milestone. Cardi is now the first and only rapper to have multiple songs surpass Diamond status (10 million units). She previously set the record for the most Diamond singles for a female rapper with 3 singles. Maroon 5’s “Girl Like You” which features Cardi was certified Diamond in November 2021. Cardi B’s single, “WAP” which features Megan Thee Stallion is also on its way to Diamond status, currently at 7x-Platinum. She is also featured on G-Eazy’s “No Limit” which also sits at 7x-Platinum.
