Cardi B Becomes First Artist With Album Of All Platinum Songs
Cardi B made history by becoming the first artist to have an album where every song is certified platinum or higher. The accomplishment happened right before the closing of Women’s History Month. Cardi’s only album to date, Invasion of Privacy, sold over 3 million units in 2019. It is the most streamed female rap album in Spotify history. Cardi became the first female rapper to win Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards. Her lead single, “Bodak Yellow,” is the first female rap song to receive a Diamond certification. Cardi B retweeted the report from Chart Data with a note that she can’t wait for her second album.
