Popular rapper Cardi B found herself in an unexpected scenario on the evening of June 4th, post her scintillating performance at Summer Jam. The New York City-based artist, along with her team, got stuck in an elevator, resulting in a somewhat cramped situation due to the limited space. Regardless, Cardi B managed to maintain her composure and lighten the mood, sharing her predicament live on Instagram with her vast following of 165 million. “We’re genuinely stuck in an elevator. This situation is just unbelievable!” she expressed, reaffirming the situation to her audience. Regardless, Cardi B stayed collected, ensuring her team, “Alright, I’m definitely not going to panic.” The Grammy Award-winning rapper then revealed they had been trapped for approximately ten minutes. “We’ve been here for ten minutes, trapped in this elevator. Let me just breathe. I’m starting to get a bit excited,” she added. “Even as she remained stuck, Cardi B maintained her humor, quipping, ‘You know what I should have done today? I should have went home, but a b#### wanted to be outside.’ She humorously admitted to being alternately ‘scared’ and ‘sleepy,’ before hilariously adapting a line from her new single with Latto, ‘Put It On Da Floor Again,’ saying, ‘Rip me out the elevator I been acting brand new.'” Fortunately, the ordeal was over quickly, and around 15 minutes later, Cardi B and her crew were freed, greeted by a horde of waiting paparazzi. Earlier that day, before the elevator incident, Cardi B had headlined Summer Jam, where she was joined by Latto and GloRilla for a standout performance.
