Busta Rhymes Gears Up for a Culture-Shifting Album, Celebrates Career Longevity
With a remarkable career that has spanned over thirty years, Busta Rhymes remains unstoppable, recently revealing that a new, culture-altering album is in the works.
The news was confirmed by Grammy Award-winning producer Swizz Beatz in an Instagram post dedicated to honoring Busta Rhymes on Sunday, May 14.
In his tribute, Swizz lauded Busta Rhymes, who has been a dynamic force in the rap industry since the 80s as a founding member of Leaders of the New School.
“2023 and my bro has new deals and fresh music on the horizon,” Swizz said in his tribute video. “I want to express my appreciation for Busta Rhymes, for his enduring career and his unique vocal style. I wish everyone could enjoy a career as long as Busta Rhymes’ – he’s the real deal.”
Swizz also celebrated Busta Rhymes for his performances in “every major festival, tour, and show in 2023,” highlighting his guest appearances with Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige within a week.
“Just wait until you hear the new music he’s bringing,” Swizz enthused, revealing that he will be co-producing Busta’s forthcoming album along with some of Hip-Hop’s top producers.
Busta Rhymes corroborated the news in the comments section, thanking Swizz and expressing his enthusiasm to “shift the culture.”
“Guess it’s time you let the cat out of the bag, huh, King? I deeply appreciate you, Swizz! Our years of friendship and brotherhood are beyond words,” Busta expressed. “Just wait until they hear how we’re going to shift the culture with this album, co-executive produced by you, @timbaland, @pharrell, and myself!
