Bun B Launches His First Permanent Trill Burgers Location in Houston
Six months after revealing his ambitions for Trill Burgers, Hip Hop legend Bun B has officially launched his first brick-and-mortar store in Houston.
Originating as a food truck and pop-up experience in 2021, Trill Burgers transitioned to a permanent establishment on Wednesday, June 7. The inaugural opening saw lines snaking around the block as burger enthusiasts eagerly waited to taste the award-winning offerings of Trill Burgers from the new 3,236-square-foot locale.
“The dream has become a reality,” said the UGK icon during the store’s launch. “Our ultimate objective has always been to establish a venue where we could consistently serve Trill Burgers at a high level daily. And now, we’re prepared to do just that. We are officially open for business, eager to serve you.”
Last year, Trill Burgers clinched the title of America’s best hamburger in Good Morning America’s “Best in America” contest. Their signature OG Trill Burger emerged victorious in the “United States of Burgers” competition, earning them the Golden Burger Trophy and a $10,000 cash prize.
Bun B shared his reasons for branching out into the culinary sector, stating, “Having a passionate purpose is critical for me. For many years, rap music and recording were my passion, but now I’m ready to diversify. The culinary world is the ideal new frontier for me.”
He went on to say, “These burgers are the perfect entryway for me into the food industry, and I am excited for everyone to try a Trill Burger.”
