The king of the south, T.I. is being honored for his contributions to the Atlanta community.

On Friday, Tip was honored at the Georgia State Capitol for his philanthropic efforts. State Sen. Donzella James honored the rapper for creating several nonprofit organizations, like Harris Community Works, which helps low-income families, and For the Love of Our Fathers, which assists with people living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

T.I. has also hosted annual Thanksgiving turkey drives and given presents to needy families during the Christmas season.

Congratulations to T.I. for this honor and for helping his Atlanta community.
