Each year, The BET Hip Hop Awards honor the best hip-hop artists in the music game. This year is no different, and the excitement has officially began, because nominations are out! This year’s Hip Hop Awards nominations include Drake, Travis Scott, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Beyonce, Jay-Z, and more.

In first place is none other than Drake. With a total of 11 nominations, he is leading the pack. Following shortly behind the 6-God is Cardi B. Cardi snagged a total of 10 nominations including Best Hip Hop Video, MVP of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Childishh Gambino, Travis Scott, and Kendrick Lamar all shined in the lyricism category with their nominations for Lyricist of the year. Gambino pulled a total of six nominations, while Scott and Lamar pulled in five each.

The beloved Beyonce and Jay-Z also make an appearance on the nominee list. The Carter’s Everything Is Love album is in the running for Album of the year.

With so many prestigious nominees, it is really a toss up as to who will take home each award. The BET Hip Hop Awards take place on October 6th, at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, Florida. The show will air on BET Networks on October 16th.
