Snoop Dogg is further cementing his legendary status with each move he makes. On November 19th, the Long Beach rapper officially accepted his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The ceremony took place in front of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio location in Los Angeles. Snoop  began by sharing his gratitude over the prestigious honor. He gave thanks to his friends and family for the constant love and support. Esteemed guest like Jimmy Kimmel, Quincy Jones and Dr. Dre all showed up to support Snoop’s special moment. Snoop went on to shout out Warren G, his mother, rappers he battled and more.

The Doggystle rapper also made it a point to give thanks to Dr. Dre. “Dr. Dre believed in me when I really wasn’t nothing. I’mma say that because I mean that, ’cause I really didn’t know what I wanted to do. When Dr. Dre gave me the opportunity, he didn’t look at me like somebody that was less than him. He looked at me like an equal and we always been brothers from that day. That was real effective with me. When you dealin’ with a star and you comin’ in as a nobody, it’s easy for the star to down look you or play you low. But for him to look at me even, that’s why we never said no to each other to this day. We always look at each other as brothers, and we depend on each other and we need each other.”

Finally, Uncle Snoop also made sure to commend himself for all his hard work throughout the years. “I want to thank me for believing in me… for trying to do more right than wrong. I want to thank me for just being me at all times.”
