Chance The Rapper Donates $400,000 To Chicago Mayoral Candidate
Article By: Ashia Skye
After Chance The Rapper endorsed Chicago mayoral candidate Amara Enyia in October 2018, he has now decided to help her campaign financially.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Chance donated $400,000 to Enyia’s mayoral campaign. He has hosted fundraisers for her in the past, but now he is coming out of his own pocket to donate to the cause.
“[The donation] means that we’ll have more flexibility than we’ve had before in our efforts to mobilize, get people engaged and connect with communities that have been disillusioned with politics. It’s the collective power of their voices and votes that will win on Feb. 26—not the power of money.” says Enyia rep Camonghne Felix.
