Brooklyn rapper, Casanova, has been in the media pretty frequently as of lately, due to allegations that he assaulted a woman who he believed was recording him while he was eating in a restaurant. The woman who accused him eventually recanted her statement, stating that it was not him who assaulted her, it was someone else. Due to the fact that he was lied on and he had to turn himself in, Cas felt that the damage to his reputation was already done. He addresses the incident in his newest track “Gonna Love Me”.

In the one verse remix, Casanova addresses issues he is having with his girlfriend due to the incident, the fact that he was lied on, and takes accountability for being in a situation he never should have been in, in the first place. He raps:

“She said I broke her jaw, how you figure that?/Only time I hit a girl is when it’s from the back,” he spits over the R&B track. “Bottom line that bitch a liar/But I should have been at home and not the diner/Why the hell I’m up in Good Stuff with hoes when a nigga already got that good stuff at home?”
