Each year, when the American Music Awards approach, artists and fans alike are riddled with excitement to find out who the nominees will be. Now the wait is over. On September 12th, the American Music Awards’s released their 2018 nominees list, and it included beloved artists like Beyonce, Drake, The Migos, Cardi B and more.

First up in nominations is Drake and Cardi B. Tied for the throne, both Drake and Cardi have a total of eight nominations. Drake is nominated for Artist of the Year, Favorite Music Video for “God’s Plan,” Favorite Male Artist (Pop/Rock), Favorite Album in the Hip-Hop and Pop/Rock categories for Scorpion, Favorite Song for “God’s Plan” and Favorite Artist (Rap/Hip-Hop).

Meanwhile, Cardi is nominated for best New Artist. She also competes with Drake for Favorite Artist (Rap/Hip-Hop), Favorite Song (Rap/Hip-Hop, and Favorite Music Video for “Bodak Yellow.” Also, she scored the nomination for Favorite Female Artist (Pop/Rock), and Best Collaboration for “Finesse (Remix)” with Bruno Mars. The “Finesse (Remix)” also has a shot at winning Favorite Song (Soul/R&B).

As far as Queen Bey, she snagged the American Music Awards nomination for favorite video, along with her husband Jay-Z. Beyonce and Jay-Z shot the video for their hit “Apeshit” in the world famous Lourve Museum. With Over 100 million views, “Apeshit” is a real contender for the win.

Along with the amazing solo acts mentioned above, the beloved Migos make an appearance on the nominee list for best group. Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, Rihanna, Ella Mai, and Sza also pop up on the nom list. Check out the full list below
