On the heels of 6lack’s East Atlanta Love Letter album release, he has teamed up with fellow Atlanta native Future, to release the video for the title track.
In the abstract visual, both 6lack and Future pay homage to their hometown of Atlanta. First the two rappers start off in Zone 6, the area they are both from. They are in front of a house where several people stand holding lit candles. Then the journey through the city begins. The video follows a few different characters through their ups and downs, as 6lack and Future rap about the city.
“This a East Atlanta Love Letter/Who gon’ love better?/Nobody Because I say so/ and my words hit like a Draco,” sings 6lack.
“Comin’ from the bottom of the mud/Concrete filled up with blood/Extended clip, no peacoat/Big pimp, damn that hoe/Piss poor, head to toe/Forty-four, let it go /Patek patek, icy cold/Pink diamonds, what’s up,” Future delivers.
Finally, as the video closes out we see the crowd of people holding the candles depicted again. The video concludes with the two rappers looking out across the city at the Atlanta skyline. Check out the East Atlanta Love Letter video below.
