6lack's "East Atlanta Love Letter" Album Hits Number 3 On Billboard 200

Rapper/singer 6lack released his sophomore album, East Atlanta Love Letter, last week, and managed to hit a major milestone. The album impressively debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Selling a solid 77,000 units, the album is 6lack’s first top 10 record.
The Atlanta native took to Instagram to celebrate his victory. First he posted a photo of himself smoking. Then he captioned it, “#1 R&B album, #3 album on billboard 200. projected to do 30-40k… we did 77k.” This is a huge increase in ranking from his debut album, Free 6lack, which peaked at number 34.
