After tons of controversy surrounding her album release, Nicki Minaj’s Queen has hit a major milestone. As of September 6th, the Queen album was certified gold by the RIAA for reaching 500,000 copies sold. The album, released on August 10th, took a month to reach gold status. It debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and currently still sits in the top 10 at number 7.

In addition to Queen being gold itself, it also contains two singles that went gold. “Chun Li” and “Barbie Tingz” have both also managed to sell over 500,000 copies. Despite so much public controversy, it seems that Nicki is still delivering when it comes to numbers.
