No stranger to spreading the truth, and trying to empower the community, rapper Meek Mill took to Instagram to share a Business Insider article that he found interesting regarding the music industry. The headline for the Business Insider article read “Musicians Only Got 12% of the 43 Billion the Music Industry Generated, and it Mostly Came From Touring”. Clearly disappointed in these percentages, the Philly rapper decided to share this with the rest of the world.

Meek shared a screenshot of the article with the caption “Nobody really winning. lol the owners killing shit though”. says Meek, commenting on how though the musicians do the bulk of the work in the industry, they receive a miniscule amount of the profits.
