This past weekend one of the biggest music festivals in the U.K., Wireless Festival, took place in North London, and was jampacked with performances from some of the music industry’s top tier artists. Acts such as The Migos, Rae Sremmurd, A Boogie, J. Cole, Big Sean, and more graced the London stage. Among the artists scheduled to perform was the headliner for the closeout day, superstar DJ Khaled. When it was announced that DJ Khaled would be unable to make his performance due to travel issues, festival-goers were left to speculate on who would fill the spot.

To the surprise of the entire festival, none other than megastar Drake, was chosen to fill the spot that DJ Khaled left open. Fresh off of the release of his new album, Scorpion, Drake hyped up and partied with the crowd during the 30 minute set featuring some of his biggest hits, features, and songs from the new album. Wireless Festival tweeted a video clip from the performance from their official twitter account , announcing the surprise to the rest of the world. In the clip Drake gives a high energy performance of “Look Alive” , a song by new artist BlocBoy JB, on which Drake is featured. Judging by the video, it can be safely assumed that the festival goers were more than happy with the suprise headliner filling in for the beloved, DJ Khaled.
