It’s well documented that Lil Wayne has been through plenty of tough situations throughout his career. Though Weezy is doing pretty well now, he acknowledges Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz for helping him get through his trials and tribulations. Wayne credits Jay-Z with helping him get out of trouble with his taxes.

“There’s people like Jay-Z,” Lil Wayne began. “He helped me out when I was really, really, really down. Really, really, really down. There’s people like Swizz Beatz who’s gonna send me every single beat he make and wants me to rap on every single one until I got my situation straight. He don’t want me to talk about it. He don’t want me to tell nobody.”

“Jay don’t want me to tell nobody,” Wayne said in his thank you speech. “That man helped me with my tax. He’s a real friend y’all. Shout out my nigga Jay. Shout to my nigga Swizz. Shout out to my rider Chance. Weezy!”
