After last week’s meeting with Trump, Kanye West has left the U.S. and headed to Africa. Yeezy flew to Uganda and built an outdoor studio to finish recording his new album. TeamKanyeDaily posted a photo of the setup, a white dome filled with studio equipment. They captioned the photo “Ye’s pop-up studio located in Uganda.”

Ye also spoke on his decision to go to Uganda and the direction of the album on TMZ. He stated he “felt the roots” more than ever by going back home, and he wanted his album to embody that. “The album is so good,” he said. “I’m incorporating sounds you’ve never heard before and pushing concepts that people don’t talk about. We have concepts about body shaming, and women being looked down upon because of how many people they’ve slept with.”
