According to Rolling Stone, Questlove, drummer of legendary hip-hop group The Roots, is working on a book that will be part memoir, part cultural study.
The memoir titled “Mo’ Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove,” will detail his experiences in music, the rise of The Roots, life growing up in Philadelphia during the 70s and much more.
So what can fans expect? Well based on a recent press release, “musings about the state of hip-hop, the state of music criticism, the state of statements” and Questlove’s thoughts on “pivotal moments in black music and pop culture.”
The memoir will be released June 18 through Grand Central Publishing.
