Rick Ross Rick Ross, the rapper known as the Biggest Boss, has extended a helping hand to former CNN anchor Don Lemon after his recent termination from the network following a 17-year tenure. Upon hearing the news, the MMG leader expressed his surprise on Instagram and offered Lemon a job at WingStop. Ross said, “I just found out Don Lemon was terminated from CNN. Damn, Don. But guess what? A brother’s got your back!” He continued, “We’re hiring at WingStop. And for some reason, I believe you know what you’re doing with them LEMON pepper wings. So, man, just send over your resume. 17 years, damn. But, I’m gonna make sure I get you in front of the right grill, brother. Stay solid, brother.” Don Lemon, however, may not be too excited about the rapper’s offer. He shared a statement on Monday, expressing his disappointment at CNN’s decision and the manner in which he was informed. Lemon stated, “I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly.” He thanked his colleagues and teams for an incredible run and wished them the best. CNN CEO Chris Licht released a memo to the staff, acknowledging Don Lemon’s contributions over the past 17 years and wishing him well in his future endeavors. The network also committed to the success of CNN This Morning, which has been on air for nearly six months. However, CNN disputed Lemon’s account of the termination, claiming he was offered a meeting with management but chose to release a statement on Twitter instead. A tweet from CNN’s communications department read, “Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate. He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter.”
