Despite a six-year hiatus in releasing new music, R&B/Pop icon Rihanna continues to collect RIAA plaques and maintain her reign in the industry. The Barbadian billionaire recently headlined the Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in Glendale, Arizona, delivering a memorable performance of “We Found Love” from her Talk That Talk album. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has now certified Rihanna’s 2011 hit single “We Found Love,” featuring Calvin Harris, as Diamond, signifying 10 million units sold. The chart-topping song spent ten weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and its official music video, produced by Calvin Harris, has garnered over 1 billion views on YouTube. Rihanna previously earned a Diamond Award for her guest appearance on Eminem’s 2011 track “Love The Way You Lie,” which has reached 13x-Platinum status. The singer is also on the cusp of achieving further milestones, with “Stay” featuring Mikky Ekko, “Work” featuring Drake, and “Needed Me” all holding 9x-Platinum certifications. Eminem’s “The Monster,” which also features Rihanna, currently boasts 8x-Platinum status, as does RiRi’s iconic breakout hit “Umbrella” featuring Jay-Z. As per RIAA data, Rihanna has accumulated 165.5 million certified units for digital singles, securing her the No. 3 spot on the all-time list, just behind frequent collaborators Drake (184 million) and Eminem (166 million).
