Nicki MInaj Nicki Minaj, the popular Republic Records artist, sparked joy among her dedicated fanbase, the Barbz, with the announcement of her fifth studio album on Monday (June 5). Mark your calendars, as Minaj has set the album’s release date for October 20. Although she hasn’t divulged the title of the new project, she teasingly referred to it as “The Album.” Minaj posted a succinct tweet saying, “10/20/23 The Album.” It’s been a while since Minaj has released an album comprised entirely of new content, her last being “Queen” in 2018. Her most recent endeavor was a compilation of her greatest hits titled “Queen Radio: Volume 1,” which debuted in 2022. In the previous month, Minaj amped up the anticipation for her forthcoming album, also hinting at a tour in conjunction with the project. “NM5 is the pinnacle of 2023 and will redefine the standards, setting them higher than ever before,” Minaj confidently posted on Twitter. “The NM5 tour will be lauded as ‘innovative.’ That’s all.” Minaj has treated her fans to several tracks in the first half of 2023. She released a solo single, “Red Ruby Da Sleaze,” in March and made guest appearances on multiple tracks in recent months. The platinum-selling artist collaborated with Ice Spice on the remix of “Princess Diana” in April, and she also teamed up with Sexyy Red for a remix of the viral sensation “Pound Town” in May.
