Cardi B Cardi B has come closer to claiming the assets of vlogger Tasha K, who owes the rapper over $4 million following a defamation lawsuit. According to AllHipHop, they have obtained documents revealing that a writ of execution was filed against Tasha K and Kebe Studios LLC in Georgia on Thursday, April 20. This court order paves the way for Cardi B to collect the judgment granted to her. In 2019, the Atlantic Records rapper filed a lawsuit against Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe. In 2022, a jury ruled Tasha K liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Consequently, Tasha K was ordered to pay Cardi B approximately $4 million. The vlogger requested a new trial, but the appeals court upheld the verdict in March. The court stated, “There are two issues here. One is whether the jury had sufficient evidence to hold appellants—Latasha Kebe and others—liable for defamation (and other privacy torts) against appellee Belcalis Almanzar (better known as ‘Cardi B’). The other is whether the district court erred by excluding evidence. We hold that Kebe hasn’t preserved either issue for appeal.” After her appeal was unsuccessful, Tasha K issued an apology to Cardi B through social media.
