SZA SZA continues to dominate the Billboard 200 chart with her album SOS. With the exception of one week this month, SZA has topped the chart every week in 2023 so far. An additional 87,000 equivalent album units put her at the top spot again. SOS now has a 10-week reign at No. 1 giving it the most weeks at that spot for an R&B album since the 18x-Platinum The Bodyguard soundtrack which spent 20 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 in 1992-93. SZA’s SOS album is also the longest-reigning No. 1 album by a solo R&B female artist since Mariah Carey’s self-titled debut in 1991 which held the spot for 11 consecutive weeks. SZA released SOS on December 9, 2022. The album features appearances from Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. The album has several commercially successful records as well including “Kill Bill” (which is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100), “I Hate U,” “Good Days,” “Shirt,” and “Nobody Gets Me.” Billboard will present SZA with the Woman of the Year honor at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
