C-Murder’s Life Sentence Appeal Denied

A Louisiana appeals court upheld a 2009 life sentence for former No Limit Records emcee C-Murder.

C-Murder’s rap career includes eight solo albums and several albums with TRU, the trio of him and brothers Master P and Silkk The Shocker. His 1998 disc Life or Death achieved platinum sales and its follow-up Bossalinie went Gold.

Buju Banton Denied Appeal On 10-Year Prison Sentence

Jamaican dancehall icon Buju Banton’s appeal request for a new trial has been denied by a Florida judge. Banton, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison on cocaine conspiracy and trafficking charges, filed a motion in July for a new trial, but was blocked by a Tampa Judge James Moody in a recent hearing.
