Young Thug Despite facing legal challenges and awaiting trial in the YSL RICO case, rapper Young Thug refuses to let his legal troubles impede his musical endeavors. On Thursday (June 22), the embattled artist announced the imminent release of his new album, titled “Business Is Business,” and tagged Metro Boomin in the announcement. Via Instagram, Young Thug confidently declared, “BUSINESS IS BUSINESS TONIGHT. @metroboomin let’s go.” Metro Boomin himself confirmed the album’s release in his own Instagram post, exclaiming, “BUSINESS IS BUSINESS THE ALBUM AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE TONIGHT!! DROP SOME 🔥 IF YOU’RE READY. #FREETWIN I LOVE YOU BRO.” Last week, Young Thug provided a teaser for the project by sharing a QR code on social media. “Business Is Business” will mark his first album since the 2021 release of “Punk.” Despite Young Thug’s musical pursuits, he remains incarcerated with no clear start date for the YSL RICO trial. Jury selection commenced in January, but no jurors have been seated over the past six months. Young Thug was among the 28 individuals named in the original indictment against YSL members. Throughout the RICO case, Gunna, Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk, and other defendants have accepted plea deals. As one of the remaining eight defendants in the YSL RICO trial, Young Thug continues to navigate the slow-moving jury selection process, with several co-defendants having their cases severed along the way. Despite the uncertain legal landscape, Young Thug’s dedication to his music remains unwavering as he prepares to unleash “Business Is Business” upon the world.
