Mary J. Blige To Receive Billboard Icon Award
Mary J. Blige will receive the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards. She is also set to perform on the show live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 15. Mary is the 11th artist to receive the Icon Award. Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Cher, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Garth Brooks, and P!nk have also received the Icon Award. Blige has ten Billboard Music Awards from the 1995 R&B album of the year to 2006, when she won nine awards. She has four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and one No. 1 single for “Family Affair” on the Billboard Hot 100.
