Floyd Mayweather once speculated that 50 Cent may get involved in professional boxing–just a few months later, Mayweather prediction has come true. 50 Cent has officially entered his name as a boxing promoter.

Sports Illustrated recently reported that 50 has founded TMT Promotions—short for The Money Team—which has already been licensed in New York and is in the process of applying for a license in Nevada, the epicenter for most prized bouts. The report goes on to add that in addition to 50 and Mayweather working together to promote fights, that TMT Promotions is expected to sign fighters Yuri Gamboa and Andre Dirrrell. The Money Team will be up against the veteran promoter likes of Bob Arum (Top Rank) and highly-successful Oscar De La Hoya (Golden Boy Promotions).
