Scar Lip Promising music artist, Scar Lip, is advancing her career at an impressive pace and recently inked a new contract with the prestigious Epic Records. This significant news was declared on Thursday (Jun. 1) by renowned Epic Records veteran and Bronx native, Swizz Beatz, who enthusiastically welcomes this budding talent to their stellar line-up. Through a series of social media posts, Swizz Beatz commemorated this pivotal moment, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to Scar Lip’s success story. “In rare instances do we encounter true greatness. Congratulations, @scar_lip! I’m thrilled for you, and now that you’re a part of the family, the sky’s the limit. The journey ahead promises to be truly Epic,” he wrote in his post, further giving a nod to Epic Records, and hinting at the thrilling musical journey that lies ahead. Swizz Beatz further encouraged the promising star on his Instagram story, stating, “You now have industry titans in your corner. It’s time to roll up your sleeves and put in the hard work. The future is in your hands!” To commemorate Scar Lip’s initiation, a video was posted of the Epic Records team raising a toast to her arrival. Sylvia, the CEO Chairperson of Epic Records, warmly welcomed Scar Lip, “We’re honored and excited to work with you. Here’s to a future filled with success.” Earlier this year, Scar Lip made a significant entry into the music scene with her hit single “This Is New York.” The track gained over 1.6 million views on YouTube since its April debut and garnered support from established New York artists, such as Busta Rhymes and Cardi B. Her debut song was so admired that Snoop Dogg remixed it into “This Is Cali.” In April, Scar Lip teamed up with Swizz Beatz, Jadakiss, and Benny The Butcher for the visually captivating “Take ‘Em Out.” Swizz Beatz, during a recent conversation, expressed his belief that Scar Lip’s talent was a gift from the late DMX. He reflected, “Scar Lip’s dynamic energy is so reminiscent of DMX that I feel he led her to me. Although they’re distinct artists, there’s a shared resilience and spirit that I identify in them.” The co-founder of Verzuz further added, “Like DMX, Scar Lip carries a lot of experiences with her, but she remains kind-hearted and inspirational. She represents the overlooked, just as X did, and despite her trials, her optimism is infectious. She deserves all the success coming her way.” Embracing Swizz Beatz’s advice, Scar Lip is fully committed to her craft. She recently shared an Instagram video preparing for her upcoming performance at Summer Jam. She captioned the post, “Perfecting my craft for Summer Jam. Can’t wait to set the stage on fire!”
