Megan Thee Stallion, Chance The Rapper Join Tribeca Festival: A Showcase of Music, Storytelling, and Reunions

Megan Thee Stallion This year’s Tribeca Festival is set to feature several Hip Hop stars, including Megan Thee Stallion and Chance The Rapper, as confirmed panelists for the New York City event. The Storytellers Series will host Chance The Rapper at The Indeed Theater at Spring Studios on June 14, followed by Megan Thee Stallion participating in a live conversation at NYC’s Beacon Theatre the next day. Cara Cusumano, Tribeca Festival Director and VP of Programming, highlights the importance of music in storytelling and expresses her excitement to incorporate diverse performances into the Gala events, featuring Soul, Rock & Roll, Pop, and Hip Hop. The 2023 Tribeca Festival will also present various talks, reunions, and master classes. The Storytellers Series will include discussions with prominent figures such as Paul McCartney, Conan O’Brien, John Mellencamp, David Letterman, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Billy Porter, Hailee Steinfeld, and Diplo. The Directors Series will showcase public dialogues with renowned directors like David Fincher, Steven Soderberg, Patty Jenkins, and Katie Holmes. Meredith Mohr, Tribeca’s Vice President of Artist Relations, is thrilled to reveal the dynamic lineup for this year’s festival, hoping that the exceptional stories and insights shared by these celebrated icons will inspire and empower upcoming creators and artists. The Tribeca Festival will also honor iconic films as part of its Reunions series. Angela Bassett and Kevin Sullivan will reunite to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 1998 film How Stella Got Her Groove Back. Other reunions include the cast and crew of the 1991 cult classic New Jack City and a special 40th-anniversary celebration for 1983’s Wild Style. Additionally, the festival will premiere A&E’s investigative documentary Exposing Parchman, supported by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, and Paramount+’s docuseries De La Calle, featuring appearances by rappers Fat Joe and Juelz Santana.
