Dr Dre According to Dr. Dre’s attorney, Peter Paterno, Disney wanted to sign Dre to a $4 million deal after he released The Chronic. During an interview, Paterno said he would meet with Michael Eisner, the former CEO of Disney, every week. When Dre went No. 1, Eisner asked why they weren’t offered the opportunity to sign him. Obviously, the partnership would not have worked because Dr. Dre’s lyrics and album cover would not fit the image of Disney. Dre was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 where he included Paterno in his gratitude.
