Drake – ironically – made headlines last week, when reports broke alleging that he had left Lil Wayne’s Young Money label. MediaTakeOut claimed that Drizzy was considering a move to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint, but an insider has come forward
to set the record straight.
“While he did make some business moves. There are no official plans to leave Young Money at this time,” he told Global Grind.
Drake will not be leaving Young Money anytime soon, but a source confirms that he did fire his management team which which includes Gee Roberson, Al Branch, Kyambo Joshua and Cortez Bryant.
Addressing the subliminal tweets, Drizzy and Weezy were sending on their Twitter accounts, the source added: “As far as the tweets, Wayne is in Aussie right now and he was probably talking about a woman. In reference to Drake, he likes to tweet quotes a lot.”
Drake himself has taken to Twitter to shoot down the rumours, writing: “If you ever wake up in the morning and think Young Money ain’t my team, you out your motherf**king mind. I’ma tell you that right now.”
