With some circus-like theatrics and high energy dance moves R&B crooner Chris Brown has made his mark as one of the most dazzling live performers of his generation. Brown stomped onto the stage decked out in an all-white suit to his hit “Yeah 3X” before launching into a random switcheroo into Wu-Tang Clan’s “Protect Your Neck” smash from 1993 complete with some hard dance moves to match the RZA-produced classic. He then launched into Nirvana’s 1991 smash hit “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and rocked out to the best of his ability. Brown then smoothly transitioned to his dance hit “Beautiful People” – with invisible wires flinging the singer over the audience and landing him on an adjacent stage. Long after the performance, fans continued to rave about Brown’s showing at the VMAs.
