Beyonce International superstar Beyoncé Knowles-Carter launched her much-awaited “Renaissance World Tour” on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, to the delight of her legion of fans. The inaugural concert of the “Renaissance World Tour” saw a staggering turnout of 46,000 ardent supporters. The Grammy-winning artist from Houston held the Swedish audience captive with a three-hour performance, revisiting some of her iconic hits and introducing new ones. The setlist included fan favorites such as “Diva,” “Love on Top,” “Crazy in Love,” and “Drunk in Love.” Beyoncé also treated the audience to live renditions of songs from her latest album, Renaissance. The crowd at the Friends Arena savored live performances of Renaissance’s hit singles “Break My Soul” and “Cuff It.” Both tracks made it to the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10, with “Break My Soul” topping the U.S. chart. Renaissance made a powerful debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 332,000 units in its first week. The album has maintained a strong presence on the chart, featuring among America’s most popular albums for 40 consecutive weeks. The album also topped the Swedish album chart for a week, along with leading album charts in other countries like the United Kingdom and Australia. At the 65th Annual Grammy Awards in February, Renaissance clinched the Best Dance/Electronic Album award. “Break My Soul” won Best Dance/Electronic Recording, “Cuff It” was awarded Best R&B Song, and “Plastic Off the Sofa” secured the Best Traditional R&B Performance. The “Renaissance World Tour” will hit the U.K. on May 17, followed by concerts across Europe in France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland. Beyoncé will make her way back to North America in July.
