50 Cent To Star In Expend4bles; Slated For September Release

50 Cent Lionsgate has announced the release of “Expend4bles”, the highly-anticipated fourth installment of the successful “The Expendables” movie series. The action-packed film is set to hit theaters on September 22. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the renowned Hip Hop artist and entrepreneur, is one of the latest additions to the movie’s star-studded cast. A thrilling trailer for “Expend4bles” made its debut on May 7, giving fans a glimpse of 50 Cent in his role as the character Easy Day. The film’s roster also boasts other notable additions including Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia. Returning to the screen as the formidable squad of elite mercenaries known as The Expendables are Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture. “Expend4bles” is directed by Scott Waugh and reportedly carries a production budget exceeding $100 million. 50 Cent took to Twitter to share his excitement, saying, “It’s time for some new blood. Watch the official trailer for #Expend4bles – only in theaters 9/22”. He added, “Expendables 4 my new movie is no joke, if you like action you’re gonna love this.” 50 Cent, a native of New York City, has a filmography that includes notable roles in films such as “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” and “All Things Fall Apart.” He also produces TV series including “Power Book II: Ghost” and “BMF.” The first movie of “The Expendables” franchise made its theatrical debut in 2010, earning $274 million globally. The sequels, 2012’s “The Expendables 2” ($315 million) and 2014’s “The Expendables 3” ($215 million), continued the franchise’s commercial success, each grossing over $200 million worldwide.
